Fortune Magazine has announced the creation of the Legatum Fortune Technology Prize, which will give a $1 million annual award for efforts to aid poverty through technology.
Legatum is the investment vehicle of Christopher Chandler, who with his brother Richard is one of my favorite little-known value investors. The Fortune article doesn't say much about him but does have a link to Legatum's web site. Also the FT had an article on the Chandlers a few years ago when they made the Forbes list of billionaires for the first time. But the best article about them comes from Institutional Investor a few years ago. I don't know if it's available online but I have a paper version if anyone wants a copy.
They are legit. I have a crush on them.
This guy, on the other hand, I'm not so sure about. Your consigliere's mother, an expert in these matters, has on occasion informed him that "Romanian Israelis are all criminals and scammers!" so maybe I'm brainwashed.
do you still have a crush on them?
