In my opinion, the concern in investing should be the process and not the person. If the person is the process of allocation then analyze the person and their other choices and time/asset allocations. Are they for social show, status, recognition or personal indulgence obsession. It takes all kinds of course. The problem with many investment options at the allocator level is that the person won't reveal the process leading to issues of transparency, repeatability and robustness in the process as applied by the person.
