You basically described my youth there as well.

One question that comes to my mind: were there any 13-year-olds who had enough foresight to see the glossy, hologram-embossed bubble for what it was? And what are they doing with their lives now?


Hello, my name is Paul and I was a baseball card-o-holic.
Every couple of years I look at them and think, what was I thinking spending all that money. But looking back I would have spent the money on something else anyway. At 15, what did I care about investing or retirement. My baseball card collection was my retirement fund. ;)

I did! I don’t mind them at all. Everyone seems to hate them but I thought they were quite good!
